Great Revelations Academy’s middle school curriculum offers a comprehensive and engaging learning experience for students.
Science instruction follows Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) with the Inspire Science 6-8 integrated curriculum by McGraw Hill, which encourages evidence-based and project-based learning. The curriculum integrates physics, chemistry, earth science, astronomy, and biology, preparing students for future career and college readiness.
Mathematics utilizes enVision Mathematics Common Core, providing a strong foundation in Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 topics through interactive activities and challenging projects that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
In English Language Arts (ELA), students immerse themselves in diverse literary works, including mythology, novels, short stories, poetry, and nonfiction. ELA classes focus on the craft of writing and reading, engaging students in persuasive, research-based, and analytical writing.
Social studies covers geography, history, economics, and government, while supplementing lessons with engaging projects and resources.
Middle school students also explore art through shading, textures, color theory, and dimensions, fostering creativity and artistic expression.
In technology classes, students receive foundational software training while emphasizing the responsible and ethical use of technology. Technology is also integrated throughout and across content areas through both instruction and student produced projects and assignments.
